REPERTOIRES & REQUIREMENTS

PROFESSIONAL DIVISIONS 1, 2 AND 3

COMPETITION AND AUDITION REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS

ONLINE AUDITION:

Participants must present the first movement of a Sonata by either Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Clementi, or Schubert.

SEMI-FINAL ROUND:

Participants must present 2 contrasting selections totaling a maximum playing time of 15 minutes. One of the two pieces must be a first movement of a Sonata by either Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Clementi or Schubert.

FINAL ROUND:

Participants must present 3 contrasting selections totaling a playing time not more than 20 minutes. One of the three pieces must be a first movement of a sonata by either Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Clementi or Schubert.

• Repertoire must include the first movement of a Sonata by either Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Clementi or Schubert.

• Contestants must perform from memory.

• Applicants must submit audition video of their performance. The SYPC TH team must receive the video by 11:00pm of Friday 1st April 2022

• The videos should be in at least 1080p resolution with good sound quality. Hand-held videos are not accepted. The performer’s upper body, hands, face, and feet must be captured throughout. If any of these parts of the body are obscured, the performance will not be assessed.

• The videos must be unedited. Post-production handling that affects the acoustic quality of the videos is not permitted.

• The videos submitted to the competition must be used only for this competition.

• Videos that have been used in other events are not allowed for this competition.

Video name for submissions should always be named with contestant’s FULL NAME – SURNAME

• All pertinent program details (Composer, Work, Key, Op., No., Hob., K. designations) for each movement of the work intended for performance must be listed.

• No concerti or transcriptions are allowed.

• Participants are required to perform the exact same repertoire for further stages of the competition.

• The winner who will represent Thailand at the Regional Finals, will be selected from Professional Division 1, 2 or 3 ONLY.

• The Organizing Committee reserves the rights to cancel or postpone the Competition due to extenuating circumstances.
