DIVISION 2 & 3 - Sonata

COMPETITION AND AUDITION REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS

FIRST ROUND: Participants must present 2 contrasting selections totaling a maximum playing time of 15 minutes. One of the two pieces must be a first movement of a Sonata by either Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Clementi or Schubert.

FINAL ROUND: Participants must present 3 contrasting selections totaling a playing time not more than 20 minutes. One of the three pieces must be a first movement of a sonata by either Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Clementi or Schubert.

• Participants may perform the same pieces as the First Round.

• Repertoire must include the first movement of a Sonata by either Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Clementi or Schubert.

• Contestants must perform from memory

• All pertinent program details (Composer, Work, Key, Op., No., Hob., K. designations) for each movement of the work intended for performance must be listed.

• No concerti or transcriptions are allowed.

• Participants are required to perform the exact same repertoire for further stages of the competition.

• The winner who will be representative of Thailand will be selected from Division 2 or 3 ONLY.

• The list of repertoires maybe submitted 3 months before the competition.
